Frequently asked questions
It was born from an inspiration in 2015, like a flash of lightning, a clear thought: to create multilingual children's books that would reveal the blessing inherent in the relationship between Israel and the nations.
- It gives children the opportunity to discover the link between the modern nation of Israel and the biblical narratives. Without Israel, there would be no Bible. God did not replace Israel with the Church, but gave both a distinct and complementary role. This is an important reality that children deserve to know.
- It encourages children to think for themselves and ask questions.
They're about children from different backgrounds acquainting themselves with each other. Through their conversations and questions, they gradually discover the origins of biblical holidays, sometimes little-known aspects of God's personality, and the role He has given to each of them.
Avi is the main character of the books. He is 8 years old and has just left his home country, Israel, because of his father's new job. He will face prejudice and ignorance from his schoolmates, but he will also be able to share unique aspects of his background and relate in unexpected ways with his new friends, Laura and Luca.
Because Israel allows us to understand God’s timing for humanity. Avoiding hatred or indifference and instead gaining a biblical understanding of Israel is crucial in order to comprehend present times as well as to prepare for the future.
We have in mind children and their parents, grandparents, Sunday school or catechism teachers; and anyone who wants to introduce children to our Judeo-Christian roots.
An Avi book is undoubtedly an excellent gift that will bring great blessings to the child, give them a solid foundation in understanding the Bible, and nourish their faith in God. It's also a precious gift for adults interested in their Judeo-Christian origins.
The production process reflects the books themselves: a group of people from various countries who share a common faith in Jesus/Yeshua work together to create the albums.
They are available in some local bookstores, from the publisher, or directly from the Avi association.
No, a younger child who has the book read to them can certainly appreciate the budding friendship between Avi, Laura, and Luca and engage with the content; for example, by coloring the illustrations. To explore the themes in more depth, adult guidance is recommended.

The book opens "in the other direction," in the Hebrew style. This piques the child's curiosity and introduces them to the unique aspects of Hebrew culture, which was also Jesus' culture.
These pages allow readers to delve deeper into the topics discussed between the characters, with additional biblical, historical, linguistic, and biographical information.
The themes offered are rich and vast... We believe it is more appropriate to guide the child by offering a gradual unveiling of these subjects, much like a parable or a treasure that is discovered little by little through repeated readings.
It's a way of emphasizing that other cultures exist beyond our own language, which is a blessing from God. The books contain Hebrew and two other languages, to symbolize the biblical "classification": "Israel and the nations."
Hebrew is more than just a language. Through it, the God of the universe reveals Himself and even embodies His Word: "The Word became flesh."* Never static, always in motion, it brings joy, life, strength, and hope.
Furthermore, Hebrew allows us to connect with the culture in which Jesus grew up and lived. In the books, the Hebrew text is placed as the foundation upon which everything else is built.
